Marcellus Comes to Netflix

In case you are one of the few people on the planet who has not read Remarkably Bright Creatures, Marcellus is a giant Pacific octopus living at the Sowell Bay Aquarium in Puget Sound.  I will tell you no more, because Marcellus and his human friend Tova Sullivan come to Netflix today, and they want to tell their own story without me spoiling it before you’ve watched the film. 

So that’s it.  Short and sweet. 

By the way, my stuffed octopus now has a name.  She is Olivia, and she has a friend named Olympus in Virginia who is eager to meet her.  Don’t know how that is going to work out, but I have read Shelby Van Pelt’s debut novel, Remarkably Bright Creatures twice and will tell you that I loved it. 

Now, it’s time to make some popcorn, settle in on your couch with your partner, cat, dog, or stuffed octopus and get ready.  The show is about to begin.
